In June and July 2018 Ambulance 118 Foundation received partial funding from Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) and Australian Aid to increase capability in trauma and cardiac emergencies of doctors, nurses and midwives in Papua, Indonesia. This program is a collaboration with Indonesian Surgeons Association, Indonesian National Nurses Association and Papua Surgeons Association. Courses were conducted in Jayapura, Manokwari, Sorong and Serui, Papua, with a total of 170 nurses and 30 midwives were trained. RACS is focusing on programs for hospitals especially in the Eastern part of Indonesia.
